Black Creek Developments is leading the way in commercial development in Alberta utilizing Passive House, an ultra energy efficient German engineering technology.

Many developers shied-away from the prospect of building something out of the ordinary. Black Creek Developments jumped at the chance to be part of history in the making of the first ever Passive House car dealership. It involves more work: seeking out green materials that more often than not had to be shipped overseas from Germany, and adhering to Passive House code that many did not want to take the time to learn. 

With changing norms and the fear of the unknown, many people cling to past ideals. But the world doesn't advance unless someone blazes a new trail. We see it time and time again where the old way fights the new in a desperate attempt for survival, but the old will always die out in the end. 

Black Creek Developments is proud to be one of the brave to run towards change, not run from it. We are proud to be a part of progress and innovation; to embrace it, not fight it. 

We are not afraid to go where others will not. 

While there is still plenty of exciting work to be done ahead of us, we could not be more proud of how our Passive House project has been coming together and for the decision on Scott Subuaru's behalf to adopt this unprecedented way of building their car dealership.
